PhD Students and Postdoc Recruitment for Spring/Fall 2026

Our Fluid Innovation Lab at the University of Nevada-Las Vegas (UNLV) is hiring for Spring 2026 or Fall 2026! We are seeking two motivated PhD students and one postdoctoral researcher to work on exciting turbomachinery projects, including cryogenic pumps, supercritical CO2 turbines and compressors, and ventricular assist devices.

Available Positions

PhD Students (2 positions): Full financial support (12 months) is available for qualified candidates.
Postdoctoral Researcher (1 position): Competitive benefit packages available.

Research Projects

Successful candidates will work on exciting turbomachinery projects, including:

Cryogenic pumps
Supercritical CO2 turbines and compressors
Ventricular assist devices

Qualifications

Experience in experimental fluid mechanics or turbomachinery is highly desired. Candidates should have strong hands-on abilities and be able to work with complex experimental systems, including:

Instrumentation
Data/image acquisition
Design and manufacturing
