In May 2026, Isabella Stanley defended her MS thesis titled “An Open-Source Workflow for Fontan Surgical Planning.”
Isabella is now a PhD student and Sloan Scholar in the Fluid Innovation Lab. Her research focuses on advanced virtual surgical planning for patients with congenital heart disease and Fontan assist devices to restore normal circulation.
